The Covenant Solar Car Club is an independent 501(c)3 parent led
hands-on engineering project that allows students to design,
construct, and race a solar electric vehicle in a highly environment
with participating teams in the Solar Car Challenge.
This program allows students to develop skills in the areas of project
management, engineering, fabrication, testing, and competitive racing
in a highly collaborative team environment
he Covenant Solar Car Club participates in the Solar Car Challenge
(www.solarcarchallenge.org), which has been in existence for over
30 years and is the only high school solar car competition of its kind
in the country. On even years, it is a closed course race at Texas
Motor Speedway and on odd years, it is a cross country race held on
public roads
The Covenant Solar Car Club is a self funding non-profit organization
that depends upon donations to make this extraordinary project
possible. Fund raising eorts by participating students is a key
component of the learning experience, but fundraising by the students
alone does not cover the costs associated with the design, engineering,
construction, testing and ultimate competition of a sophisticated solar
electric vehicle.
By sponsoring the Covenant Solar Car your organization will receive
great exposure in the form of logo displays on the car (for bronze tier or
higher) which is highly visible throughout the build, testing, and racing
phases of the project.
The Covenant Solar Car Club would like to thank all of our sponsors.
Without your gracious contributions this fantastic opportunity for these
highly motivated young academic leaders would not be possible.
Through the Covenant Solar Car Club students have a challenging
opportunity to not only learn more about engineering, but to operate
and participate in a real engineering project from beginning to end.
Your generous contribution supports the education and development of
these future engineers. And your company will receive cost-eective,
high visibility exposure during the build, testing, and racing phases of
the project. Your support for the advanced education of students like
those who are committed to a project like the Covenant Solar Car will
be noted by large numbers of people in the DFW area and beyond.
Again, the students appreciate all of the contributions of those
companies, organizations, and individuals who have helped make this
project a successful realit
