Preparation Timing: Weekends November 2024-July 2025

Race Timing: The race dates have not been released yet, but we anticipate the race being July 9-16. Participation is mandatory during the race, along with the weekends the month prior to the race, excluding holidays.

I understand that I will have to pay $500 per student upon arrival at the first event and my student is expected to raise funds through donations of upwards of $4000 per student. *Every student that raises more than $4000 will be refunded their initial $500 participation fee.

I hereby give my concent for my child (above) to participate in the Solar Car Club DBA Covenant Solar Car. The above named student is my child, and is now under my control and in my custody. I authorize Solar Car Club and its representatives to consent to and obtain emergency medical treatment of my child in case of any illness or injury in connection with a club activity or field trip, such treatment to be administered by such physicians, other medical personnel, hospitals, and/or clinics as may be selected by Solar Car Club or its representative. I hereby assume responsibility for such professional services. It is understood that Solar Car Club assumes no responsibility in case an accident occurs. Our child has our permission to return home with his/her parent/guardian or another parent-appointed driver from club workdays, field trips, and the Solar Car Challenge competition if needed. My student needs to be sure to check out with his/her sponsor before leaving. The parents/guardians release Solar Car Club from responsibility if an accident occurs. I further understand that there are costs associated with operating such a club. I hereby consent to paying for participating in Solar Car Club through either fundraising or directly paying for items which may include Solar Car Challenge registration fees, banquet fees, shirts, hotels, parts for the car, consumables, lunches, etc.
