The Covenant Solar Car program is a student focused, hands-on engineering project that allows students to design, construct and race a solar electric vehicle in a highly competitive environment with participating schools throughout the US. The spirit of the program is to allow students to develop skills in the areas of project management, engineering, fabrication, testing, and competitive racing in a highly collaborative team environment.

On July 18th, during Race Day 2 of the Solar Car Challenge, the CCA Solar Car Advanced Classic Division team placed 1st in our division.
On July 19th, during Race Day 3 of the Solar Car Challenge, the CCA Solar Car Advanced Classic Division team placed 2nd in our division.
We lined up outside Texas Motor Speedway before dawn on Thursday, July 13th to begin the check-in and 3 day scrutineering process for the Advanced

Much like it was in 2018, today was a smooth running day with excellent sunshine and awesome scenery. We completed a record setting 196.2 miles
