Highlights Of What We Accomplished Since The Last Update
- Saturday, January 25th
- Team workday at the solar car shop – Kayson, Nathan, Ryder, Chris, Zach, Ellia, Jack, and Ryder met with Shannon, Brian, and Mark and continued construction on the new car (see photos below).
- Formed the roll bar for the new car
- Developed the template, cut out the aluminum, and press broke the upper riveting flanges for the instrument panel bulk head.
- Wired up significant portions of the 48 volt main power system for the new car on the stand alone test stand that we are building
- Overall, we made major progress on several fronts on this day. Well done team!
- Sunday, January 26th
- Team workday at the solar car shop – Langan joined Shannon and Brian and continued construction on the new car (see photos below).
- Cut out holes in the aluminum instrument panel bulk head for driver leg pass through and removable instrument panel.
- Created a wooden buck, that will be used to hammer bulk head pass through edges to form curved edges for structural strengthening.
- Again, we made great headway on this day.
